Who we are

George Hennessy completed articles with a firm of Chartered Accountants and then went into the corporate world. Here he designed systems for use in various businesses and was involved with SAP implementations, audited extensively (both operationally and in forensics) for a large diverse group, traveling into Sub Saharan Africa, the USA, and Southern Africa for over 20 years.

Apart from the above, he held various positions such as Factory Secretary for a large corporation, Administrative and Human Resources Manager for a large Chemical Company and spent 11 years as the Regional Audit Manager on risk management.

He completed his EAAB certificate in 1996 and now has his own Estate Agency and Business Broking business. He not only has a passion for real estate but believes that owning ones own property is the best way to financial growth.

It is his goal to be professional and above reproach in every aspect of his business using his experience and knowledge to give clients the very best deals and overcoming all obstacles. Besides Qualifications in the property and financial field, George is also a qualified school teacher.

Laurie Salter

34 years in Commercial; Agricultural and General Banking.

He left the corporate environment in mid 2004 to pursue personal interests in the commercial environment.

He bought two businesses, sold one, before re entering the financial world of Business Broking and Property Sales in the latter half of 2007.

With his Banking background and now having owned his own businesses for the last +3 years, he is well positioned to offer advice and guidance in the buying and selling of businesses and properties in South Africa.

He is a Certified Estate Agent, having become fully qualified in 2007.

His Fidelity Fund Certificate number for 2008 as a Principle of ‘Hennessy Estate Agents and Business Brokers’ is: 2008 / 210 / 838.   

He looks forward to bringing a solid professional approach to assisting individuals, both in their personal as well as business capacities, with their respective needs when buying or selling property or businesses.
